Using a credit card abroad can be an expensive business with some companies offering poor exchange rates and charging withdrawal fees (normally 2.5% of the amount withdrawn with a £3 minimum fee).
Previously the best two credit cards for use in foreign countries were the Nationwide and Post Office, however, there is a new card in town called Abbey Zero which no foreign exchange fees making it a must for those who spend a lot of time and money abroad.
In addition the Abbey Zero card gives you 0% interest for the first 6 months if you transfer a balance from another credit card company and you will not have to pay a balance transfer fee either. Abbey also give you an introductory 0% rate on all your purchases during the first 6 months.
